Tomorrow, Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate, Michael Franken, will launch a new television ad entitled: “Lifetime.” Franken released the ad on the heels of a strong $1.4 million fundraising report where he outraised his primary opponent, Abby Finkenauer, so far this year.
“During his 37-year military career, Michael Franken was a staunch defender of democracy, and he will be a formidable challenger to Senator Grassley in November,” said Julie Stauch, campaign manager. “Seven weeks out from the primary election, we are in a strong position to make significant investments in voter outreach to win the primary. We are confident that we will have the financial backing and statewide grassroots support necessary to retire Grassley.”
“Michael Franken has never taken one dime of corporate PAC money, and he will be beholden to the hardworking people of Iowa and not cater to special interests. Iowans deserve better leadership than what Senator Grassley has to offer. Michael Franken knows what it’s like to make tough decisions, and he will be ready to lead on day one,” continued Stauch.
The 60 second ad will begin airing this week on both Cedar Rapids and Des Moines broadcast as well as cable and satellite TV. A Digital version will also begin statewide this week on Facebook, Instagram with additional targeted buys on Youtube, Google, and several streaming platforms.
