Informed Choice Iowa sent out a message late Wednesday night to supporters that the group needs “every single” ICI member to call the office of Gov. Kim Reynolds today (Thursday, Sept. 3) to encourage Reynolds to “continue upholding our personal liberties and the freedom of choice to mask or not.”

“Throughout the pandemic, Gov. Reynolds has shown that freedom is important to her and the state of Iowa,” the group wrote. “She has been getting slammed for her stance on freedom.”

Reynolds, the group said, is planning to meet with the Surgeon General on Friday with potential plans for a statewide mask mandate.

Informed Choice Iowa said it has been trying to schedule a meeting with Reynolds and medical professionals who will lay out “sound scientific justification” against the usage of widespread masking for healthy individuals.

“Please mention this in your call so that we can make sure Gov. Reynolds can hear from ALL sides regarding this issue,” the group wrote.

Iowans are encouraged to call 515-281-5211.
