Today, seven years after Sarah Root’s death, U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) honored Sarah and highlighted her renewed effort, Sarah’s Law, which would bring justice to families like the Roots. Due to a loophole in federal law, Sarah’s killer was released by federal law enforcement and never faced justice.
