Twenty years later the leaders of Afghanistan are still denying Osama bin Laden had anything to do with the Sept. 11 attacks.
That revelation came during an interview by NBC News with Taliban spokesman Zabibullah Mujahid. More than Mujahid’s words, watch his body language when Richard Engel begins the line of questioning related to bin Laden.
As for his words, Mujahid was clear.
“Even after 20 years of war, there is no evidence of his (bin Laden) involvement (in 9-11),” he said. “There was no justification of this war, it was used as an excuse by the Americans for war.”
