A Waterloo city councilman, Jonathan Grieder, criticized back-to-school guidelines issued on Thursday by the Iowa Department of Public Health.

“Cannot tell you how feckless, cruel and downright bad these recommendations are. No requirements for social distancing, no requirements for face coverings and no screening. It’s really clear what (Gov. Reynolds) thinks of the well-being of our students and staff. No (sic) much.”

Grieder, by the way, is a high school social studies teacher and a supporter of the Black Lives Matter group.
