Wes Enos has officially filed his candidacy paperwork with the Iowa Secretary of State’s Office to appear on the 2026 ballot for Iowa Senate, pledging to continue his work as a strong, conservative voice for Eastern and Northern Polk and Dallas County.
Enos, a lifelong resident of Eastern Polk County and nearly 20-year resident of Bondurant, currently serves as Deputy Chief of Staff to Congressman Zach Nunn. He previously served on the Bondurant City Council and as Chairman of the Polk County Republican Party, building a record of public service at the local, county, and federal levels.
“I’m running for the Iowa Senate to be a voice for the communities I’ve called home my entire life,” Enos said. “Our district deserves a Senator who understands our communities, our challenges, and our needs — and who is ready to go to work on day one.”
During his time on the Bondurant City Council, Enos helped guide infrastructure expansion and capital improvements that laid the groundwork for the city’s rapid growth and economic development. In Congress, Enos has worked closely with cities and chambers of commerce to provide real solutions for local challenges and improve local infrastructure projects.
Enos’s campaign is focused on four key priorities:
- Protecting Property Rights and opposing the weaponization of eminent domain for private profit
- Property Tax Reform to deliver real relief for Iowa families and seniors on fixed incomes
- Supporting Law Enforcement and First Responders to keep growing communities safe
- Government Accountability and Transparency to ensure elected officials serve the communities that they represent
Congressman Zach Nunn has endorsed Enos’s campaign, praising his leadership and commitment to Iowa values.
