Washington is broken because the people sent there to fix it become part of the problem. They join in with the career politicians who built the swamp. Not just Democrats either, but Republicans too. By the way, we are not just sick of it. We are sick of coming to expect it every single day.
That is why I am proud to endorse my friend Joe Mitchell for Congress. I have known him for years, ever since we first met in Des Moines at the State House. We got elected around the same time when most people our age were just starting their careers.
We worked together on a number of important issues like lowering taxes, protecting law enforcement, and standing up for parental rights and good schools. As the Iowa House Education Chairman, I appreciate how strong he is on standing up to the radical LGBTQ agenda and Liberal indoctrination forced on our kids in the classroom.
What’s become even more important, I saw his drive, passion, and commitment to advancing conservative causes outside of Des Moines. Now At 28, Joe fully understands that the time to step up is now. Because if we don’t fight and win in 2026, we’ll be paying for the mistakes of the political establishment for the next fifty years.
Having served in the Trump administration as a HUD Regional Administrator and at the Housing and Finance Authority, he’s seen firsthand how unelected bureaucrats just stand in the way of hardworking people like you. I know he will use his knowledge and connections to work tirelessly to ensure that the next generation of Iowans can afford to own a home and raise a family.
Just as important, Joe will reject the influence of corporate PAC money, pass term limits to end the era of lifelong politicians, and finally ban the shameful practice of insider trading among members of Congress.
We need leaders who recognize this and work to ensure the federal government stops being an obstacle, and instead, a friend to the American Dream.
In the June 2nd Republican Primary, it’s time to make a choice. Either send the same faces to Washington and just expect different results. Or we can send the next generation of conservative leaders who will actually be around to live with the consequences of their decisions.
