Sometimes it may seem like the jaws of the authoritarian Left are snapping shut, but the political Right is finding new and better ways to fight back. One involves ridicule, which I’ll tell you about near the end of today’s commentary.
The family of a donor to the University of Richmond is asking for its money back plus $3 billion in interest after the donor’s name – T.C. Williams – was stripped from the University’s law school because the donor owned slaves. One of the donor’s descendants said ‘if the family name is no longer good enough for the university, neither are the family’s financial contributions.’
A pro-life group fed up with the FBI’s favoritism toward abortion clinics and recalcitrance in investigating attacks on pro-life centers hired its own private investigators to find out who firebombed its Buffalo office last summer.
Following the creation of a bank and a shaving supplies company, a new online marketplace offers patriotic Americans sick of giving their money to Woke corporations and their transgender mascots a shopping platform for goods and services from thousands of businesses that share patriotic values. I love it when conservatives get back into power. Just look at the House Judiciary Committee, firing back on all fronts – the weaponization of government against the Right, progressive DAs who have turned their offices into crime factories, the rogue FBI attacking ordinary parents and Catholics, and more. In Florida, Governor Ron DeSantis is probing diversity, equity, and inclusion spending by public universities. He also appointed conservatives to the board of the left-leaning public New College of Florida to rein it back in. The conservatives newly in charge of a county commission in Michigan dismantled the county’s social justice programs and appointed a new health expert who is taking direct aim at the federal government’s phony COVID narratives.

The Smithsonian agreed to a court order prohibiting it from discriminating against visitors based on the content of pro-life or other political messages on their clothing.
A waiter shot by a man who was released from jail after a nonprofit put up bail money sued the nonprofit out of existence.
A Catholic group is suing the FBI under the Freedom of Information Act for failing to release records regarding the FBI’s infiltration of churches to spy on Catholics.
A California doctor is suing the Stanford University health system for suspending him for speaking out against the government’s overreaching COVID policies. He is one of a group of doctors who succeeded in getting an injunction against California’s COVID ‘misinformation’ law which attempted blatant censorship of the truth. The Christian humor site Babylon Bee is suing California over another state censorship law.
A public library in Arizona backed down after being threatened with a lawsuit for banning a Christian story hour. A soccer player at Virginia Tech won a $100,000 settlement after her coach benched her for refusing to kneel during the national anthem at games. A court upheld sanctions against two left-wing professors in Tennessee who falsely accused a colleague of racism and falsely labeled a student conservative organization a “national hate group”. That’s what you get for believing your own propaganda.
But here’s my favorite: a man took his dog to the vet asking for a gender transition. The dog is male but was dressed in a pink tutu for the occasion, which you can watch on video. Like Saint Saul Alinsky of the Left said, ridicule is a very effective weapon.
