The House Appropriations Subcommittee on Homeland Security released the Fiscal Year 2022 Appropriations bill for the subcommittee. The Homeland Security Subcommittee bill included Congresswoman Hinson’s Community Project Funding (CPF) request to construct an Emergency Operations Center in Jackson County. This was the only CPF request she submitted for this subcommittee.

“I am so glad that this funding request to help build an Emergency Operations Center in Jackson County was included in the Homeland Security Subcommittee funding bill,” said Congresswoman Ashley Hinson. “I will continue fighting to bring important resources home to our community, like for this project that prioritizes safety and security for Iowa families.”

Hinson’s CPF request included in the Homeland Security Subcommittee bill:

JACKSON COUNTY

Project NameJackson County Emergency Operations Center

Amount: $262,500

More details on these requests can be found here. This is the eighth of twelve subcommittee funding bills to have been released. Hinson will release additional information about remaining CPF requests as the rest of the House Appropriations Subcommittees meet and release the text of their funding bills. The Homeland Security Appropriations Bill still needs to be considered by the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate before being signed into law.
