Liberal Republican Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks told attendees at a county convention on Saturday that Republicans should stick together like Democrats.
“I’ll tell you one of the things Democrats don’t do, Democrats don’t primary their incumbents,” said Miller-Meeks, who has a Liberty Score of just 63 percent from Conservative Review.
Miller-Meeks, who has been a harsh vocal critic of President Donald J. Trump and voted for the Jan. 6 Commission, claimed Democrats want to win the district because Miller-Meeks is “too conservative.”
“If we want radical change in our government, we have to keep this district in Republican hands or we don’t have a majority in Congress,” she said.
Miller-Meeks has a 72 percent from Heritage Action. Miller-Meeks voted in support of the radical DisRespect for Marriage Act, which forces Iowa to recognize whatever California calls a marriage and puts religious liberty at great risk.
Miller-Meeks refused to support Jim Jordan in his second and third bids for Speaker of the House. She has been a proponent of funding for Ukraine. She supported a bill that funded Biden’s vaccine mandates.
In 2016, Miller-Meeks said both Trump and Hillary Clinton are liars and corrupt. Miller-Meeks said Trump is “as fit” as Clinton to be President.
We also know that her PAC donated to almost every Republican who voted to impeach Trump.
Miller-Meeks is also vice-chair of the so-called “Conservative Climate Caucus.” The group believes the climate is changing and “decades of a global industrial era” has contributed to climate change.
Before you get all prouded up about finding primary opponents for Republucan incumbents who don’t vote in lockstep with your preferences on every issue, I suggest you look up a guy named Tom Railsback. And then Lane Evans.
This article is spot on. Thank you.
Sorry M-M, I only ‘stick together’ with real Republicans, not RINOs
