He was sentenced to 12 months and one day imprisonment and was subsequently removed from the United States.

On March 17, Harlingen Border Patrol Station agents apprehended four migrants in Los Indios, Texas and transported them to the station for processing. Records checks revealed a Salvadoran national was sentenced to one and half years’ probation for sexual battery in Jasper, Indiana in 2008. Later that morning, RGV agents apprehended a group of migrants at a stash house in McAllen, Texas. Among the group was a 24-year-old male from El Salvador whose records checks revealed he is a MS-13 gang member with a prior removal from the United States in 2016.
