On October 31st, former Des Moines Register columnist Rekha Basu published a hit piece on Donald Trump asserting he is a fascist. The simple fact is that the real authoritarian is Kamala Harris. If on election day, Kamala Harris is elected president, you will have some inkling of what we have to expect by reading this article. If God blesses our nation and grants that Donald Trump and sanity return to the presidency, you will see the bullet that missed us.
Rekha Basu’s essay on Trump’s “fascism” adds another layer to the cake of divisive abuse baked for President Trump. A typical distortion is her take on President Trump’s response to being asked if “he’d be a dictator if elected, Trump said no — ‘except for Day One,’ following that with, ‘I want to close the border, and I want to drill, drill, drill.’ The problem is he alone, as president, would lack that authority.”[1]
The “dictator” statement refers to Executive Orders. Biden was a “dictator” on Day One when he issued Executive Orders reversing Trump’s immigration and energy policies. Biden reversed Trump’s orders and Trump will reverse his.[2]
Basu thinks Trump’s campaigning against representatives who voted for impeachment, and Trump’s proposed removal of Jack Smith, an unlawfully appointed and funded prosecutor, are dictatorial. Really? [3][4]
Who is the real authoritarian? While fascism is authoritarian, it insults the victims of real fascism to suggest Trump or Harris is a “fascist”. The use of “fascist” could lead to more assassination attempts. So, I use “authoritarian” instead.
Kamala Harris said she could not think of a thing she would do differently then Biden. [5]
Therefore, Harris owns the authoritarian actions of the Biden-Harris regime.
In Harvard law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz’s book “Get Trump,” he discusses the multiple violations of the Constitution, laws, and standards of fairness used by the Biden-Harris regime and others to “Get” Trump, his attorneys, and supporters.
Dershowitz concludes:
“Weaponizing the law to target political enemies is the way of tyrannies, not democracies. As Lavrently Beria, the notorious head of the Soviet KGB assured Stalin: ‘Show me the man and I will find you the crime.’
“Today, ‘the man’ is Donald Trump. And the ‘Get Trump’ radicals are desperately trying to ‘find’ crimes—or . . . to simply make them up. . . . Justice Robert Jackson . . . cautioned. . . ‘with the law books filled with a great assortment of crimes, a prosecutor stands a fair chance of finding at least a technical violation of some act on the part of almost anyone. [I]t is a question of picking the man and then searching the law books, or putting investigators to work, to pin some crime on him.’
“Searching for crimes or manufacturing them is antithetical to democracy, but especially so if the target is likely to run against the incumbent president in the coming election.” [6]
This administration’s authoritarian abuses include:
The Biden-Harris regime’s nine hour raid by 30 armed, authorized to shoot to kill, FBI agents invading President Trump’s home in Mar-a-Lago, an action more suitably directed toward the heavily defended home of a drug cartel leader, outraged Americans. While ostensibly a search for classified documents, Professor Turley suggested that it might be motivated by political bias against Trump. Agents went though Melania’s closets, seized Trump’s passports, and created a fake photo to make it appear that classified documents were scattered around the floor. No such offense had ever been committed against a former president.[7][8][9][10][11]
After the Mar-a-Lago raid, the Rasmussen Poll found that 53% of Americans agreed that “a group of politicized thugs at the top of the FBI . . . are using the FBI … as Joe Biden‘s personal Gestapo.”[12]
While pursuing the classified documents case against Trump, the Department of “Justice” announced it would not prosecute Biden for similar violations, despite being able to prove every element of the crime. [13]
The above illustrates why former attorney general Bill Barr, attorney Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., law professors Jonathan Turley, Alan Dershowitz, William A. Jacobsen and former federal prosecutor Francey Hakes, among others, all agree that the prosecutions against Trump or his allies represent political persecution or at least a political double standard. [14][15][16][17][18]
Trump supporters shouted “Lock Her Up” due to Hillary Clinton’s security violations, but Trump never prosecuted her.
Mark Houck, a Catholic pro-life sidewalk counselor with no criminal record, defended his 12 year old son by pushing an abortion “escort” who told them to go home and masturbate. The DOJ prosecuted Houck under the FACE Act for denying access to an abortion clinic. Houck’s attorneys told DOJ they would bring Houck to the FBI for arrest. Instead, 20 heavily armed FBI agents pointed guns at Houck’s head, terrified his wife and children in an early morning raid, seized him, and arrested him after handcuffing him to a table for six hours.
Attorney Peter Breen announced: “This case is being brought solely to intimidate people of faith and prolife Americans. Mark Houck is innocent of these lawless charges, and we intend to prove that in court.” Even District Judge Gerald Pappert asked prosecutors if the FACE act didn’t “seem to be stretched a little thin here.” Houck was acquitted in one hour of jury deliberation. [19][20][21][22]
The Biden-Harris DOJ has refused to prosecute a Capitol Police officer for shooting unarmed Ashli Babbit even though Professor Turley has demonstrated that her shooting “directly contradicted standards on the use of lethal force by law enforcement.” [23]
After criticizing Kamala Harris as “dangerous”, Tulsi Gabbard, veteran, former congresswoman, former Democrat primary candidate for president, was placed on the TSA “Quiet Skies” watch list for high risk passengers. This resulted in her and her husband being subjected to up to two TSA searches per flight lasting 30 to 45 minutes each with “every inch of our body patted down, every item in our carry-on searched and swabbed for explosive residue”. No justification for this action has been offered.[24]
Kamala Harris pledges there will be no religious exceptions for medical personnel who object to participating in abortion. [25]
Professor John Lott has shown that Harris’s past statements demonstrate a willingness to violate the constitutional rights to keep and bear arms, to speak, and to be secure from unreasonable searches. [26]
Former attorney general Bill Barr has stated, “[t]his is worse than the McCarthy Era.”[27]
The only way to stop these abuses is to vote for Trump!
