The National Awakening Coalition conference call on Tuesday, Dec. 10 will feature Dr. Mary Grabar. The topic discussed will be debunking Howard Zinn and exposing Marxism in America’s schools.
Dr. Grabar was born in Slovenia when it was still part of Communist Yugoslavia. She grew up in Rochester, NY. While teaching at a number of colleges and universities in Georgia, she wrote widely on political, cultural and educational topics. She founded the Dissident Prof Education Project.
In 2014, she moved to Clinton, NY and became a resident fellow at The Alexander Hamilton Institute for the Study of Western Civilization. She wrote about the corrosive effect of communist historian Howard Zinn, whose “A People’s History of the United States” has broken records in sales and adoption for classroom use since its initial publication in 1980.

“If you think that it is outrageous that Democratic presidential candidates want to eliminate the southern border and that Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez calls our detention facilities there ‘concentration camps,’ then you haven’t been reading and believing Howard Zinn’s best-selling ‘A People’s History of the United States,'” Grabar writes. “But if you have been taught by a teacher who is one of the 84,000 (as of Sept. 2018) who have downloaded lessons from the Zinn Education Project, you will get a lesson that reproduces chapter eight, which begins, ‘Today’s border with Mexico is the product of invasion and war.'”
