A new Rasmussen Reports national phone and online survey shows that while just 39 percent of American adults believe schools should require children to be vaccinated against COVID-19, a majority of Democrats (56 percent) believe schools should require the jab.
Only 29 percent of Republicans and 30 percent of unaffiliated voters agree.
Forty-five percent of those polled said they oppose mandatory COVID-19 vaccination for school children. Sixteen percent are unsure.
An identical number — 39 percent — said they think schools should require children to wear masks. Forty-two percent oppose such a requirement while 19 percent are not sure.
That same partisan divide is evident on the masking issue. Fifty-eight percent of Democrats believe schools should require children to wear masks. Just 27 percent of Republicans and 32 percent of unaffiliated voters agree.
