Former one-term Congresswoman, failed Democrat U.S. Senate candidate and current CNN contributor Abby Finkenauer praised President Joe Biden’s hateful, divisive address to the nation on Thursday night.

Finkenauer said on CNN Tonight the speech is why Biden ran for President in the first place.

“This speech 100 President Joe Biden,” Finkenauer said on Twitter. “This is who he is. A man who has dedicated his life to democracy and service and believes with his whole heart it’s worth fighting for and defending. It’s why he’s President of the United States. And it’s why I have hope in our great country’s future.”
