Former Iowa State Representative Mary Ann Hanusa announced on Thursday night she will be running for Iowa’s Third Congressional District.
Hanusa made the announcement at the Free Speech America rally in Treynor.
Hanusa served in the House from 2011-2021. She resides in Council Bluffs.
It is unknown what the Third District will actually look like, however, as the districts will likely not be drawn for at least a few more months.
Hanusa announced on Thursday she filed for and is seeking the Republican nomination for the Third District.
