Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (IA-01) voted against a spending bill that includes a $1.8 billion handout for illegal immigrants.

“Speaker Pelosi and President Biden added a nearly $2 billion handout to illegal immigrants to this bill, including direct cash assistance, which will only further incentivize illegal immigration and worsen the border crisis. Instead of ramping up domestic production to lower energy prices, they added $1 billion to this bill to temporarily subsidize energy costs. When this billion runs out, they’ll just ask for another billion, and another, as they continue with their radical and harmful policies that caused these crises. I won’t support throwing your taxpayer dollars at problems instead of actually solving them.”
