Lanon Baccam, the democratic candidate for Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District needs to be transparent with voters about his political priorities and beliefs. In May, it was reported that Baccam deleted every single post from his X (Twitter) account that was negative of former President Trump, as well as his time as a paid political activist for the Biden-Harris campaign. This is not a coincidence.
Why did he do this? In several interviews, Baccam has continued to dodge the question even when he was directly asked about it. As a voter having to choose between Lanon Baccam or Zach Nunn this election, I find it incredibly disappointing that Mr. Baccam refuses to give a straightforward answer to this very simple question. Whenever Baccam seems to be in front of the press he gives either a pre-rehearsed script or word salad nonsense. Iowans deserve transparency and answers about these obvious attempts to cover up his past, not a robot for the national Democratic machine.
