A new national phone and online survey conducted by Rasmussen Reports shows only 21 percent of likely U.S. voters believe the U.S. Senate is doing an excellent or a good job. That is nine points lower than the 30 percent of voters who rate the House of Representatives as excellent or good.
Passing President Joe Biden’s Build Back Better bill won’t help, either. Forty-four percent of Democrat voters rate the House as excellent or good, but just 23 percent of unaffiliated voters agree. That is in line with the 20 percent of Republicans who rate the House as excellent or good.
Unaffiliated voters oppose the Build Back Better bill 48-34. Sixty-two percent of Democrats support the agenda, but 69 percent of Republicans oppose it.
For voters who said they are following news of the bill “very closely,” 58 percent oppose it and 39 percent support it.
