There was no discussion on Monday during a subcommittee on a bill that would allow drivers to be ticketed if they are impeding traffic in the left lane.

Republican State Rep. Gary Worthan said there are currently things on the books, but there are no fines for any of it.

“So it’s pretty tough to enforce,” he said. “It think this will be a good bill to get out there.”

Law enforcement, Worthan said, would like to be able to ticket individuals driving in the left lane impeding traffic.
