A recent poll released on Iowa’s Fourth Congressional District Republican primary says Randy Feenstra is leading Congressman Steve King.
The poll was done on behalf of American Future Fund.
Feenstra received 41 percent, King received 39 percent and the other three candidates (Jeremy Taylor, Bret Richards and Steve Reeder) received a total of eight percent.
That eight percent number, by the way, in my opinion is far too low.
I’m not going to get into more details than that, because this poll should be taken with a grain – err, a handful – of salt.
Nick Ryan is the founder of American Future Fund.
Nick Ryan has also donated $2,800 to Feenstra’s campaign.
So, how much weight should be given to the poll? That is anyone’s guess.
At this point in the race, Feenstra’s team has to convince non-King voters that he is the only viable alternative, whether they want to support him or not.
According to their own poll, Feenstra holds a 12-point advantage among “moderate” and “liberal” GOP primary voters.
