Principal Financial Group sent a message to employees vowing to continue to “consistently support” employees with “equitable access” to reproductive health services.
“We currently provide reimbursement for travel-related expenses for specialized treatments and have expanded that coverage to include health services not available in every state (i.e. reproductive health services),” the email said.
Principal said since the draft of the decision was leaked it has been “the subject of conversations cross many of our teams and on all sides of the issue.”
“Medical and family planning decisions are deeply personal,” Principal wrote. “While we all have varying beliefs, it’s important we treat each other with respect.”
Unless, of course, the “other” is an unborn person — in which case Principal will help cover the cost of travel to have the unborn person’s life intentionally ended.
