Here is Republican Rep. Joe Mitchell’s response regarding his vote against a bill preventing eminent domain from being used for the CO2 pipelines in Iowa until March 1, 2023:

“As gas prices are at record highs and our agriculture industry is under attack, it’s extremely unfair to switch up the rules in the middle of a process that will support biofuels and benefit everyday Iowans. This is not about politics. This is about a fair process, supporting agriculture, and alleviating the energy crisis that is hurting our communities.”

  1. He is ignorant. These CO2 pipelines have nothing to do with the cost of fuel at the pump. It is the farmers that need to be protected from this meme intent domain process. This pipeline is all about the green energy which is being used for political means of power and control.
Gathering CO2 out of the air has nothing to do with farming outside if it is taking it away from the crops. The CO2 emissions they most likely want to get rid of are from animals and people. This is a place to start. It disrupts the natural transmissions of CO2 from animals and people to plants.
We breathe out CO2. Plants need CO2 and release oxygen. We as humans and animals utilize the oxygen given off by plants. These practices disrupt the whole eco system.
