Name: Dawn Driscoll, Republican

Office/District: State Senate District 38

Hometown: Williamsburg

Profession: Farmer

Why running for office: “What drove me to run for office, you know, I serve my community in many, many ways and I can use my position to fight for our conservative values and make everyone’s voice in the district heard. I think that’s really important. I’m a common-sense conservative and I just felt like it was my time to step up.

“I would say all ag issues that’s what I have the most experience in. I have been a part of Farm Bureau for a long time and I have always fought for the rights of the farmer. But as I’ve gotten through this process, education, mental health, huge. To be a voice for the small business and the businesses in our district are just as important.”
