Also in Monday night’s proclamation signed by Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds, private businesses are not allowed to host private social gatherings larger than 15 people indoors or 30 people outdoors. It says this policy is in place regardless of the group size seated together at a table.

Again, this is an aggressive overreach by Gov. Reynolds. Not all rooms or establishments are created equal in terms of space.

Some indoor venues may only be able to responsibly host 15 people. Others may be able to responsibly host 1,500.

Not only are private businesses being told when they have to close, now they’re being limited to hosting indoor gatherings of no more than 15 people.

Just think how unthinkable this concept would’ve been one year ago.

Yet here we are, living it.

I haven’t said it yet in this story, so I’ll say it now… we are eight months into 15 days to flatten the curve or slow the spread.
