The Republican National Committee’s field office in Cedar Rapids had a rock thrown through a window and the RNC is blaming the continued festering of political violence in Iowa on the “far left.”

A Wisconsin restaurant planning to host an event for a Republican congressional candidate was vandalized last week. Earlier this year the RNC’s Hispanic community center in Milwaukee also endured vandalism.

This is in addition to at least 28 pro-life centers being attacked, firebombed or vandalized in recent weeks. And that list includes a Des Moines pregnancy center.

Protesters have also demonstrated outside of Supreme Court justices’ homes, in violation of federal law, without consequence.

“Political violence of any sort has no place in a civil society,” said RNC spokesman Kush Desai. “Monday’s vandalism against an RNC field office in Cedar Rapids underscores the dangers of unchecked rhetoric against ideological dissent – and its threat to Iowa Nice.”
