The term “dead man walking” refers to an imprisoned, condemned man walking from his cell to the place of his execution. Informally it can refer to any person in a doomed situation. Shall we extend this definition to a once Christian nation that amongst many other wicked things, codifies baby murder in defiance of God Almighty?

This diabolical zeal to shed innocent blood is being loudly proclaimed as New York legalized the murder of babies up to the moment of birth. New Mexico has passed a similar bill. As of this writing, a bill that would direct medical care for babies that survive an abortion attempt has been blocked fourteen times in the US House by Democrats and twice in the Senate by the same. Virginia Governor, Democrat Ralph Northam, has suggested killing babies after birth, if the mother decides to do so. Governor Northam has been forced to publicly apologize amidst calls for his resignation… not for his advocacy of infanticide, but for a racist photo (Northam and another person dressed as “blackface” and a Klansman) that appeared in his medical school yearbook back in 1984.

Frame this in your mind. Hurt feelings over a photo from 35 years ago has Northam groveling for forgiveness while he doubles down without political consequence on his proposal to murder babies. This in a culture that knows Planned Parenthood dissects babies and sells their body parts yet still supports its grisly mission by allowing it to remain in business at taxpayer expense. How dead spiritually are we before God to allow these abominations?

This level of government-sponsored wickedness demonstrates the fact that Christian understanding of the Bible and our nation’s founding documents is woefully lacking. Then again it’s difficult to ascertain meaning from things either rarely browsed or never read. Are we so comfortable in our complacent lives that these issues of temporal importance and eternal consequences are not worth our time and effort? Yes, by and large, we are. Why is that? After all, you don’t have to be a theologian to read and comprehend the Bible. Same with the Constitution, you don’t have to be an attorney to understand what it says. Without such understanding erroneous catchphrases replace foundational meanings, such as the three branches of government (Legislative, Executive and Judicial) are separate but equal.

Separate yes, equal, no.

“Whoever attentively considers the different departments of power must perceive, that, in a government in which they are separated from each other, the judiciary, from the nature of its functions, will always be the least dangerous to the political rights of the Constitution; because it will be least in a capacity to annoy or injure them… This simple view of the matter suggests several important consequences. It proves incontestably, that the judiciary is beyond comparison the weakest of the three departments of power, that it can never attack with success either of the other two.”—Alexander Hamilton, Federalist Paper # 78

Certainly this means the judiciary can’t overturn state laws that outlaw abortion. It happened anyway because we took liars at their word rather than taking God at His. Despite this, we still have the power and God-given authority to act and the moral imperative to do so. If we won’t, God will. He’ll judge this wicked nation. Can you even now see our country disintegrating under relentless evil assault? Acceptance of evil always comes with consequences. We’ve learned nothing from history.

The citizens of Nazi Germany have been rightly criticized for doing nothing in the face of the extermination camps in their midst. Church congregations would sing louder as trains taking Jews to their deaths passed by, attempting to drown out the screams for help and the cries of human misery. How could they know and not act, you might ask? Cowardice, self-survival? How did that work out for them? The death of others that the German people tolerated in the name of self-preservation eventually came upon them. Again I tell you, God judges wicked nations.

Today Planned Parenthood defiles our towns and nation, modern day Nazi death camps in their own right. These baby slaughterhouses should hold the same revulsion for us that Treblinka, Auschwitz and Buchenwald bring to mind of Nazi atrocities. Let us not feel better about ourselves by comparison, our own iniquity is even worse. The Nazis forced innocent people into the death camps. In our culture, mothers willingly bring their own babies to be murdered in abortuaries because activist judges say they have a right to.

Ironic that liberals who support judicial activism claim that the three branches of government are indeed separate but equal, yet in practice, by supporting Judicial Activism to further their agenda, they endorse Judicial Supremacy. How fortunate for the cause of Satan and unfortunate for our nation when professing Christians don’t think and instead allow our enemies, both within and without the church, to tell us what the Bible says and dictate to us what our laws mean.

Does the following quote stir your blood?

“We are under a Constitution, but the Constitution is what the judges say it is, and the judiciary is the safeguard of our liberty and our property under the Constitution.”— Charles Evans Hughes, US Supreme Court Chief Justice (1930-1941)

This is not the rule of law, it’s the rule of a dictatorial hierarchy of judges; an oligarchy of unelected, political appointees. The Constitution itself is the safeguard of our liberty and our property as to the limitations of governmental authority, the preeminent threat to both currently being the judiciary.

“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.” (Proverbs 29:2)

Our hearts should be heavy, vexed by the evil around us. We’ve forgotten not just the wisdom of the Bible but the very framework of our Republic, the Constitution as written. Judges cannot lawfully rewrite it, though by their “interpretation” that’s exactly what they do, referring to it as a “living document” to justify their usurped authority.

Judge Scalia’s judicial philosophy is Original Intent; interpretation by which judges attempt to ascertain the meaning of a particular provision of a state or federal constitution by determining how the provision was understood at the time it was drafted and ratified. Such things as what was debated and why, focusing on the specific intent and scope of the law.
“…Does the equal protection clause (in the 14th Amendment) require states to permit same sex marriage?” That is not a hard question for an originalist. Nobody ever thought that is what the equal protection clause meant. … Is there a right to an abortion? For Pete’s sake, it was criminal in every state for 200 years. If you want a right to abortion, create it the way most rights are created in a democracy. Persuade your fellow citizens it’s a good idea and enact it into law. Don’t tell me the Constitution confers such a right.””—Antonin Scalia, Hoover Institute interview, February 23, 2009

A couple of points of contention here. Rights come from God, not government, and we’re a Republic, not a democracy. You see how the constant drumbeat of error can affect the vocabulary of even the wisest of men. Even so, one thing should be clear; “We the People” are the final arbiters of what’s lawful, not the courts.

It only supposes that the power of the people is superior to both; and that where the will of the legislature, declared in its statutes, stands in opposition to that of the people, declared in the Constitution, the judges ought to be governed by the latter rather than the former.”—Alexander Hamilton, Federalist Paper # 78

When the whole of government becomes illegitimate due to its rampant disregard for the laws that restrain it and by such, demonstrates contempt for the people it’s supposed to serve, there exists a right of last resort.

“Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.” — Declaration of Independence, July 4th, 1776, paragraph 2

Understand and affirm your authority under the law.

If this means civil disobedience, so be it.

Don’t look to the likes of pro-life organizations to do your work for you. The heartbreaking truth is that some of these organizations don’t want to see the complete abolition of abortion and have actually and repeatedly opposed such efforts. Why? Because they make their living off of the ongoing issue. If abortion was outlawed, they’d be out of a job. This is the stomach-turning reality about some of those we think our allies.

So where’s prayer in all of this? There are two types of prayer when beseeching God for His divine intervention. The first is in matters completely outside of our ability to affect, like praying for the healing of the desperately ill or injured. The second is for God’s favor and strength in those causes that our efforts are required. As it stands, the prevailing Christian idea is that everything is of the first order. For instance we pray for revival but personally won’t witness to a single soul. We pray for a loved to come to know Christ but never once share the Gospel with them.

“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.” (James 1:22)

The founders of our nation didn’t just pray that God would deliver victory to them. When they got off their knees, they went and fought for it. God expects and honors righteous effort. “Oh but I can’t do anything about abortion” say people who draw on their vast experience of never having done anything in the cause of righteousness.

“Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.” (James 4:17)

We must demand abortion be abolished. We must demand our elected officials assert their constitutional authority in their respective branches; legislative bodies make righteous laws and the respective Governors and the President enforce them as written. Judges cannot make laws nor do they have any enforcement powers for their decrees, none. Judicial tyranny exists only because an ignorant citizenry and spineless politicians allow it. The lawless reign of judges must be brought to an end. Abortion was illegal when the Roe v Wade decision was issued. Those laws are still on the books and in effect, even though ignored. Ignore judges, not laws.

The blood of over 60 million babies calls out to God for vengeance. For those who don’t want to get involved because of the inconvenience and disruption such action would bring to their lives, it’ll be complete involvement when God’s wrath is poured out on this nation.

Then maybe, just maybe, you’ll be in line behind a citizen of Nazi Germany to stand before the judgment seat of Christ; they to give an accounting for their assent to The Holocaust, you for your silence in the face of abortion.
