President Donald J. Trump’s Twitter account has been reinstated after the social media’s CEO and new owner Elon Musk created a Twitter poll asking if the 45th President should be reinstated.
“The people have spoken,” Musk tweeted on Saturday night. “Trump will be reinstated. Vox Populi, Vox Dei.”
The final phrase is Latin for “the voice of the people is the voice of God.”
According to the poll results, Trump received 51.8 percent of votes favoring his reinstatement. The poll included 15 million votes.
Trump had built an incredible Twitter following prior to being booted from the website. He had nearly 90 million followers.
“His tweets often moved the markets, set the news cycle and drove the agenda in Washington,” CNN wrote.
Trump previously said he would remain on his own platform — Truth Social.
