Project Veritas released a video interview late Wednesday night between James O’Keefe and an employee of the United States Postal Service.
The USPS employee said he works in Traverse City, MI and, more specifically, at the Barlow branch.
His boss told him and his colleagues that they were to collect any ballots found in mailboxes, collection boxes — outgoing mail in general.
“Separate them at the end of the day so that they could hand stamp them with the previous day’s date,” he said. “Today is Nov. 4, for clarification.”
The employee then named his boss. He said this is anecdotal.
“Carrier down in another office said they watched the postmaster doing it,” the whistleblower said. “If it were just a typical day, it would be clerks doing it up at the distribution center.”
O’Keefe pointed out that at 8 p.m. on election day, the court of appeals ruled ballots had to be received by that time.
“This appears to be an attempt to circumvent Michigan law and allow late votes,” O’Keefe said.
The whistleblower said he came forward because it is “sketchy.”
“How are we supposed to have any integrity in this country if we are just going to let things slide based on a scaling issue,” he said.
O’Keefe got ahold of Johnathon Clarke, the Barlow branch supervisor. After O’Keefe asked him about stamping ballots with the previous date, Clarke hung up.
