***There is vulgar language used in the following social media posts allegedly from a Waukee teacher. We just wanted to issue that warning for anyone who is not comfortable with the explicit language used.***

Prairieview School in Waukee said it is aware of the situation and currently investigating social media posts allegedly by Katherine Rinken, a 9th-grade social studies teacher.

Rinken made the following posts to Snapchat according to concerned individuals who live in the Waukee District:

The district said based on the screenshots, it agrees it has higher standards for its staff than what the pictures show. However, with it being a personnel matter, it will work in accordance with its policies and procedures.

We also reached out to Ms. Rinken, but have not heard back.
