Senate File 193, legislation sponsored by Senator Dennis Guth and cosponsored by Senators Craig Johnson, Jason Schultz, Zach Whiting and Jim Carlin, has garnered national attention.
Daniel Horowitz of The Blaze called it the “gold standard” bill to fight COVID mandates.
The bill prohibits employers from failing or refusing to hire, discharge, penalize or otherwise discriminate against employees with respect to compensation or the terms, conditions or privileges of employment based on the employee’s vaccination history or the refusal of an employee to receive a vaccine or provide proof of immunity.
And that is just one division of the bill.
Division two of the bill prohibits hospitals, health care facilities and health care providers, staff members and employees from discriminating against or terminating treatment of a patient based on the refusal of immunization.
