***This was one of the most popular stories of 2021 here at The Iowa Standard. During this “slow time of year,” we like to look back and revisit the stories that really drove the conversation at The Iowa Standard.***
As of Aug. 13, the VAERS report shows 595,620 total adverse reactions to COVID vaccinations. Of those, there have been 13,068 deaths, 5,882 heart attacks, 25,169 severe allergic reactions, 17,228 permanent disabilities and much more.
And remember, VAERS is a voluntary reporting system. It is likely just 1-10 percent of all adverse events are even reported.
“No vaccine since the inception of VAERS in 1990 has caused as many injuries and deaths as the COVID shots,” wrote Mat Staver, chair of Liberty Counsel Action. “Not even all of them combined. And, tragically, the toll is just beginning.”
Staver said the group receives pleas for help every day.
“I work in the movie industry in Hollywood, and I’m seeing casting notices that are saying Mandatory Vaccination in order to be able to work.”
“I’ve been a correctional peace officer for the prison system for 16 years. I’m four years away from retirement and I absolutely won’t take the vaccine, so I’m afraid I might lose my job over this. Is there anything you can do on my behalf?”
“I don’t agree that students should have to get the vaccine in order to continue education,” says a student three years into his degree at a private university that flatly denied his request for a religious exemption. “Is there anything you could do to help me and my wife?”
“I don’t want to get the vaccine and I don’t want to lose my job. What recourse or options do I have?” another person wrote us who is desperate to keep their livelihood and their health.
But perhaps this plea says it best:
“HELP … STOP this please. Lord help us all.”
Despite the safety concerns, vaccine mandates continue for employees, students and others.
