In case you missed it, Joe Biden is the featured speaker for the radical left-wing NEA, the National Education Association teachers union that has a decades-long record of advocating for far-out liberal politics, including their opposition to this week’s Supreme Court ruling that has given states the green light to expand school vouchers in a major win for school choice supporters across the nation.

President Trump has said it before and will continue to state that school choice “is the civil rights issue of our time.” As the Trump administration continues to fight for all students’ right to a quality education, Joe Biden said on Twitter that he opposes parents’ right to choose the best option for this children, yet sent his sons to a posh private school as Biden argues against his children having to go to school in a “racial jungle.”

Reminder to Democrats –  nearly two-thirds of black voters, whose children disproportionately end up in underperforming schools, support school-choice. Yet, Joe Biden would rather side with powerful teachers’ unions insisting funds go to failing schools that aren’t providing our nation’s youth with the education they deserve.

The Obama/Biden administration threw $7 billion into failing schools through his School Improvement Grant and even their own administration admitted the plan “had no significant impacts on math or reading test scores, high school graduation, or college enrollment.” In stark contrast, President Trump’s FY 2020 budget called for an increase of $60 million for federal charter schools proving the President will not stop fighting to provide more choices to more families.

Bottom line: President Trump knows that a student’s zip code shouldn’t define their access to quality education and success. By investing more into school choice, the Trump Administration is pushing for competition to foster innovation and empower families and students to achieve better outcomes. Meanwhile, Joe Biden and his Democrat allies want to maintain the status quo and keep students in a one-size-fits-all failing system.
