Americans are increasingly concerned that the stock market boom will not last much longer, according to a Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey.
Sixty-one percent of adults are at least somewhat concerned that the market will fall, pushing the economy back into recession. Twenty-three percent are “very concerned.”
In the last two years, fears of an economic recession have fallen.
While 42 percent of investors think the stock market will be higher in a year, investors are also more concerned about a crash than non-investors. In all, 28 percent of investors are concerned about a crash while 19 percent of non-investors share those concerns.
