The Epoch Times reports that there are more than 7,100 COVID-19 cases among Americans who have been fully vaccinated against the virus.
According to the CDC, 64 percent of these so-called “breakthrough cases” have affected females. Forty-six percent of the cases have impacted people 60 years old or older.
Of the 7,157 cases, 498 have resulted in hospitalizations. There have been 88 deaths. Ironically, the CDC slapped an asterisk on the 498 hospitalizations and claimed that about a third of those cases were deemed to be unrelated to COVID.
It is expected the CDC will release the numbers of “breakthrough cases” every Friday. However, the current system relies on voluntary reporting from state health departments, which means there may be more breakthrough cases than what the CDC reports.
