President Joe Biden received some backlash on Sunday after he appeared to check his watch during the dignified transfer of the 13 American troops killed during an attack in Kabul last week.

According to Jennifer Jacobs of Bloomgberg news, about three dozen relatives were seated in chairs in Biden’s line of sight. One woman could be heard “wailing.”

Toward the end of the event, Biden was caught doing this:

Texas Congressman Ronny Jackson said that he was “disgusted.”

“God bless these heroes and their loved ones,” he said. “They deserved better.”
