It was not easy to find, but it was there. The New York Times buried its Oct. 7 correction letting readers know that their report that suggested 900,000 Americans kids had been hospitalized for COVID was inaccurate.

And, in fact, the number is actually around 63,000.

In addition, the article incorrectly described actions taken by regulators in Sweden and Denmark when it came to distributing doses to young children. And it incorrectly suggested child doses of the Pfizer vaccine would be ready for distribution in America this week.

The Times put its correction at the bottom of the report, under advertisements for additional articles, with no hint of it at the top of their page.

Apoorva Mandavilli authored the false claims and is the same reporter who said the Wuhan lab leak theory was untrue and has “racist roots.”

Mandavilli missed it with a number more than 14 times higher than the actual number.
