I have been thinking a lot lately about the idea that those individuals vaccinated for COVID-19 are potentially more dangerous than those unvaccinated. Here’s why:
If someone is unvaccinated and they contract COVID, they will likely know it because they will experience symptoms.
Those vaccinated, however, are just as likely to actually contract the virus, but seemingly much less likely to know it as the vaccine is intended to mask symptoms.
So, the unvaccinated population that displays symptoms will be much more likely to stay home and take precautions than the vaccinated population that — again — is at the same risk of contracting the virus yet will not be as likely to know it because symptoms are masked.
Are we really sure that’s the best route?
