One of the more monumental issues of our time seems to be Big Tech censorship. Social media outlets completely banned the sitting President of the United States earlier this year.

United States Sen. Chuck Grassley would play an important role in any efforts to stop Big Tech censorship as ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee. To his credit, he has also spoken out against the Big Tech censorship happening.

But, it is worth pointing out that in 2021, Grassley’s campaign committee has received $11,000 from Big Tech so far.

Amazon has contributed $8,000 while Google has contributed $2,000.

Last year, Google gave an additional $2,500 to Grassley’s “Hawkeye PAC.” In 2019, Google gave an additional $2,500 to the Hawkeye PAC.

Google also gave $2,500 to Grassley’s campaign committee in 2019 while Amazon contributed $1,000.

Google, Facebook, Microsoft and Amazon all made contributions to the Hawkeye PAC in 2018. Facebook gave $5,000, Microsoft gave $5,000, Google gave $5,000 and Amazon gave $2,500.

The Hawkeye PAC also received $5,000 from Microsoft and $5,000 from Google in 2017. Google gave another $5,000 to the Hawkeye PAC in 2016.

In fact, since 2004, Grassley’s committees have received $148,000 from the Big Tech giants (Amazon, Google, Facebook and Microsoft). Of that, $78,000 went to the Hawkeye PAC.

This figure also doesn’t include any potential individual contributions made by executives or others affiliated with Big Tech. This figure represents the donations from Google LLC Net PAC, Facebook Inc. PAC, Amazon PAC, Microsoft PAC.
