U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) released the following statement after Democrats’ failed attempt to take over our elections and destroy the Senate:

“This entire stunt was about politics and power. Democrats manufactured a crisis in an attempt to destroy the Senate, take control of America’s elections, and fundamentally change our country. I commend my colleagues on both sides of the aisle who stood up to this political ploy to destroy democracy. Ironically, in just a few short months, I believe my Democratic friends will be thankful they didn’t succeed.

“Let’s be clear: the only thing Republicans are trying to suppress is the skyrocketing inflation, record illegal border crossings, and the uptick in crime under President Biden. Instead of doubling down on his inflammatory rhetoric and labeling those who disagree with the Democratic agenda racist, President Biden should heed his calls for unity and work with Republicans to tackle the real issues facing hardworking Americans.”
