Joe Biden is dismissing his recent trip to Iowa with Cindy Axne as an ineffective photo-op.
The Washington Post reports “President Biden seemed upbeat when he visited an Iowa biofuels plant in April to talk about bringing down gas prices, standing before a large tractor as he declared that ‘biofuels have a role to play right now’ and announced a plan to expand the use of ethanol over the summer.
“But privately, Biden dismissed the policy as ineffective and questioned the value of the trip, according to two people familiar with the conversations… Biden had worried even before the announcement that it exaggerated ethanol’s ability to cut gas prices and could harm his climate goals, the people said, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss private conversations.”
Does Cindy Axne agree with Joe Biden that year-round E15 access is an ineffective way to lower costs at the pump?
Hmmm. Since “conservatives” can’t seem to reconcile the fact that ethanol fuels is a boondoggle; looks like it’s going to take a globalist to kill it. Thus sparing the RINOs the agony of admitting that the science and economics of RFS is fake.
Here’s a challenge to the RINOs promoting E85 as energy efficient. Take a 1 or 2 gal fuel container of regular (10% ethanol) and fill up your car with E85. Record the odometer and drive the car until it starts to sputter. Record the odometer, then pour the regular into the car, drive to nearest gas station and fill it up with regular and fill the container with 0% ethanol. Drive the car until it sputters. Record the odometer and pour the 0% into the car, drive the car to nearest tank, fill it up with zero% ethanol and drive until it sputters and record the odometer.
Then tell us the real-life mileage you got for each type of gas. The cost of each type isn’t as important as the actual mileage.
Go ahead, we’ll wait.
