While most likely voters agree with President Joe Biden that the COVID pandemic is over, most Democrats still want mandatory vaccines against the virus.
Fifty-six percent of likely U.S. voters told Rasmussen Reports they’re still concerned about COVID. Forty-three percent said they aren’t concerned. That is a 12-point drop from January when 68 percent said they were concerned about COVID.
Overall, 60 percent of voters said they agree with Biden’s quote from 60 Minutes, when he said the pandemic is over.
Thirty-five percent said they disagree.
Fifty-one percent of voters said they disagree that employers should require workers to get vaccinated against COVID. Thirty-eight percent said employers should require the vaccine.
Forty percent said schools should require children receive the vaccine, but 50 percent disagree.
Democrats favor making vaccines mandatory in both situations. Sixty-four percent of Democrats believe COVID shots should be required for children in school. Fifty-nine percent said employers should require the shot.
Seventy-three percent of Republicans and 51 percent of unaffiliated voters oppose mandatory vaccines for children to attend school.
