U.S. Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-Miss.) has joined with U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) in resuming the fight to protect women’s sports by stopping a Biden administration rule that would force schools and universities to allow biological males to compete in women’s sports.
The Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act (S.613) was reintroduced Wednesday to preserve Title IX protections for female athletes and protect fair, safe competition in women’s sports.
“The Biden administration’s radical drive to redefine gender will overturn the hard-won advances women and girls have made since Title IX became law. A half-century of progress is being threatened by a drive to ignore basic biological facts, and the consequences will diminish the rights of women and girls to compete on a fair playing field, costing them scholarship and career opportunities” said Hyde-Smith, who has cosponsored this and similar bills in past sessions of Congress.
“For more than 50 years, this law has empowered young women to grow personally, compete professionally, and receive scholarships to further their education. The positive impacts of a fair playing field in women’s sports are unmatched, but the Biden administration is forcing female athletes to the sidelines by allowing biological males to compete where they do not belong. It’s unfair, it’s unsafe, and it’s wrong,” Tuberville said. “We cannot stand by and let girls and women in sports lose to the radical left’s agenda. I am proud to introduce this legislation, and will continue fighting to preserve a level playing field for all current and future female athletes.”
Last year, on the 50th anniversary of Title IX—the 1972 law which prohibits sex-based discrimination in any educational program that is federally funded, the U.S. Department of Education issued a radical proposed rule to allow biological males to compete in women’s sports. Despite strong opposition, the Biden administration is on course to publish a final rule in May, with the rule expected to go into effect during the 2023-2024 school year.
The Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act would:
• Ensure Title IX provisions treat gender as “recognized based solely on a person’s reproductive biology and genetics at birth.”
• Ban recipients of federal funding from operating, sponsoring, or facilitating athletic programs that permit a male to participate in a women’s sporting event.
The Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act has been endorsed by the Independent Women’s Forum, Concerned Women for America, and Heritage Action for America.

First all females should boycott any event that includes males. Second, the sooner the government school system collapses, the better off American children will be.
