United States Sen. Rand Paul sent a letter to the United States Attorney for Washington D.C., Matthew Graves, asking his office to begin an investigation into testimony from Dr. Anthony Fauci.
Fauci testified before the Senate’s Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions on May 11, 2021. Paul warned Fauci about criminal implications during his testimony, but Fauci’s testimony has since proven “inconsistent with facts,” according to Paul.
On Monday, The Iowa Standard asked fairgoers at the Iowa State Fair if they thought Dr. Fauci should be investigated. An overwhelming majority (85.9 percent) said yes while just 14.1 percent said no.
In all, 542 fair visitors said yes, and 89 said no.
