President Joe Biden received criticism on Tuesday after he walked out of a Medal of Honor ceremony early, leaving the Vietnam War hero by himself to listen to the closing benediction all alone.

Biden left the ceremony prior to the closing remarks. Not only was he criticized for the early exit, but he also drew the ire of some for not wearing a mask despite First Lady Jill Biden testing positive for COVID earlier this week.

Larry Taylor, 81, a retired Army Captain was being honored for his actions during the Vietnam War.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said on Tuesday that Biden would wear a mask while indoors if he wasn’t socially distanced, however that didn’t happen during the ceremony.

Former Navy SEAL Shawn Ryan called Biden an (expletive) idiot.

“The continuous lack of respect Biden has for anyone is appalling,” Ryan said.

Congressman Wesley Hunt noted it was perhaps a positive that “at least (Biden) didn’t check his watch this time,” referencing Biden’s miscue at the Afghanistan ceremony in 2021.
