Forty-eight percent of likely U.S. voters believe Fani Willis should be disqualified from prosecuting the case against President Donald J. Trump and his associates.

Just 39 percent of likely voters disagree. Thirteen percent said they were not sure.

Willis was the subject of a hearing last week due to an alleged “improper relationship” with the attorney share hired as special prosecutor in the case involving Trump.

Based on her testimony, 38 percent of likely voters said they are more likely to think Trump is being unfairly targeted. Just 18 percent said her testimony made them less likely to think Trump is unfairly targeted.

While 73 percent of Democrats believe it is at least somewhat likely Willis testified truthfully, just 31 percent of Republicans and 44 percent of unaffiliated voters agree.
