On Thursday, U.S. Congressman Matt Gaetz (FL-01) sent a letter to Rep. Ami Bera (CA-06) accepting his invitation to brief the House Intelligence Committee on the information Rep. Gaetz was briefed on regarding the five assassination teams in the U.S. targeting President Donald Trump.

Immediately after Rep. Gaetz broke the news Tuesday night that one of the five assassination teams targeting President Trump was Iranian, the Biden-Harris administration was forced to brief the Trump campaign about one of those threats. Nevertheless, Rep. Bera, who sits on the Intel Committee, told Raw Story that spreading the information was “dangerous” and invited Rep. Gaetz to give a classified briefing to the Intelligence Committee.

Full text of Congressman Gaetz’s letter to Rep. Bera and the House Intelligence Committee can be found HERE.

LETTER TEXT

Representative Bera:

I accept your invitation to brief you and the Committee on information I received about the threat teams targeting former President Trump. I would also be pleased to bring with me my General Counsel, who was also present at the briefings I had. Please let me know when and where I should arrive.

Sincerely,

Matt Gaetz
Member of Congress
