Both letters request “all records in the possession, custody, or control” of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the United States Secret Service (USSS), the Department of Justice (DOJ), and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to date, related to the September 15 event no later than October 11, 2024.

In the letter to DHS and USSS, the Task Force requested:

  • Any written policies or procedures, including the establishment of security perimeter(s), and the allocation of responsibility between USSS and state and local law enforcement partners with respect to those perimeter(s); and any documents or materials reflecting enhancements or changes to policies or procedures as a result of the September 15 event.

The Task Force letter to the DOJ and FBI also notes “the Department of Justice’s October 2, 2024, motion to designate the matter of United States of America v.
