Today, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) supported S.J.Res.37, a proposal that would effectively end mask mandates on planes, trains, buses, subways and other methods of public transportation.

“Iowans – and now a majority of Americans – are no longer wearing masks in grocery stores, office buildings, churches, schools, sports venues, restaurants and the list goes on. It makes no sense for masks to be required on public transportation simply because the CDC doesn’t know what arbitrary guidelines to set next. Enough is enough. It’s time to end these heavy-handed mandates and penalties,” Grassley said.

The measure passed the Senate with bipartisan support, 57 to 40 Tuesday evening. Recently, Grassley also voted to eliminate President Joe Biden’s Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) vaccine mandate, which has put more red tape on hospitals, nursing homes and health care workers.

Some airlines in the United Kingdom, including British Airways, dropped their mask mandates effective Wednesday.

Grassley previously said if trains and airplanes required proof of COVID vaccination to travel, and people didn’t want to get vaccinated, they would have to find another way to travel.

  1. Yawn! Too little, too late, and oh, by the way, just a couple of virtue signaling proposals that will be ignored by his Demonrat friends across the aisle.

As if that would make up for the knife in our backs for another pointless 1.5 trillion in debt so the congressional hogs could feast at the pork barrels while giving themselves a yuge raise. It’s congress that should be “squealing”.
