Today, American Principles Project PAC (APP PAC) announced the launch of a new ad campaign in Virginia aimed at exposing the anti-family agenda of Democratic gubernatorial nominee and former Governor Terry McAuliffe. The first ad, released today, highlights McAuliffe’s recent debate comment that “I don’t think parents should be telling schools what they should teach,” in response to recent attempts by parents to push back against left-wing ideologies like Critical Race Theory and transgenderism in Virginia’s public schools.

APP PAC President Terry Schilling released the following statement on the campaign:
“Last week, Terry McAuliffe revealed the woke left’s true end game: driving a wedge between parents and their kids via public education. The left knows that the biggest remaining threat to consolidating their power is the continued existence of strong families. And they cannot allow the burgeoning movement of parents standing up to school boards and fighting the radical policies being imposed in schools to pick up any more momentum.
“We are at a critical juncture in the battle to save the American family. It is clear that Terry McAuliffe and Virginia Democrats agree with Joe Biden that concerned parents are akin to ‘domestic terrorists.’ But Virginia voters have an opportunity next month to send a message to Democrats that their anti-parent, anti-family attacks will not be allowed to succeed. We believe this issue is more critical than any other, and we intend to make sure voters understand the enormous stakes heading into November 2.”
